For those in Paris, or travelling to Paris, don't miss the last days of the exhibition "Ideal History of contemporary fashion" which ends in May 8th. One hundred fifty models selected from the collections of the most emblematic creators who have contributed to the style of the last 20 years. The exhibition is divided into several "schools", Belgian, English, urban, minimalist, high fashion or independent, each creator reveals his/her passion and expertise. When we'll look back, what will we remember of the 90s? Remember Gucci designs from Tom Ford?

The 1990s have been the years of the maturity of multiple trends and an organized market. They led to expressions of civilized times, sometimes in a radical way. Azzedine Alaia collections are a significant example. Rei Kawakubo at Comme des Garcons, willingly provocative, never tires of unexpected surprise with concepts such as the collection "lumps and bumps" spring-summer 1997. Jean Paul Gaultier is the most creative contributor to the collections starting with "Les Rap-Pieuses" in 1990 or "tattoos" and "Modern man" in 1996-1997 and the haute couture collection in 1997 where with an open perspective his designs perpetuated a personal style universally recognized.
