If there is one thing that the famous Lebanese designer knows best, is what women want to look perfect. Many times for us girls and women it's so frustrating the idea of going to an important event and we don't know what to wear or better yet we have nothing to wear. Men don't understand us because they don't have our desire to always get noticed everywhere that we go. It all starts from the perfect dress, perfect shoes, perfect hairstyle and make-up and the accessories as well.
It's the Elie Saab's Fall Winter 2011 2012 Haute Couture that reveals the feminine side with those delicate shapes. The collection is filled entirely with dresses, in ivory, bronze, aquamarine, white, grey and blue colours. The gowns were adorned with Swarovski crystals, giving a total sparkle to the show.
Elie Saab said that his Fall 2011 Couture collection was inspired by skyscrapers, though I have no idea what the skyscrapers have to do with the looks I saw on the runway. Well only the designer knows that, but Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, who has worked for Saab for three collections said:
"We wanted to explore the fragility of femininity. These dresses have a diaphanous fairy like feel to them but remain empowering. It's always a challenge to relate Elie's inspirations and themes to his couture customers but he remains mindful of this at all times."
“It was very pretty and in the mood of what we have been seeing at the couture shows this week – it was light and much more understated from him,” said Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers.“It was a new and understated look for him but it sat very well within what we’ve seen,” added Chambers.
