Monday is the perfect day to post some shopping windows photos from here in Milan. This because on Sunday everything is closed and one of my favorite activities is walking before going for dinner in an empty Via della Spiga. Shining windows, narrow old milanese street and a lot of quietness.

Here are some shopping windows for the Fall season. We can't deny the fact that fashion houses take windows design very seriously nowadays.

Lanvin Fall Winter 2011
Even though many of the Lanvin collection dresses were more evening, this one in the windows was actually a real winter dress we can put during the day. Love this red color and the long gloves.

Stars and sparkle for fall. This trend already copied from all the high-street shops.

Prada Fall Winter 2011
Prada puts an airplane inside the windows to go with their vintage aviator inspired eyewear. Something between the Martin Scorsese 'The aviator' movie and then newly successful TV series 'PanAm'

Moschino Fall Winter 2011
Moschino makes the best windows ever, changing them every month and always with a funny touch. What do you say about the penguins?

Chanel Fall Winter 2011
Chanel always presents its windows with the theme of the runway show. This seasons collection was presented with a vulcano theme and we find the vulcano even in the windows.
Loved the boots.

Milano Moda Cakes
Because Milan is the city of fashion and food. After a day of shopping the best way to end the perfect day is having an icecream or piece of cake at 'Le Tre Gazelle' in Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

Window shopping in Milan is one of my favorite things to do in the whole world--the windows are better than anywhere I've ever seen, and I work in LA where they are pretty great down Wilshire, but nothing compared to Milan! I'm so jealous of your bakery stop too--Mmmm!

I've never been to Milan but judging from your photos, it must be an amazing place to shop. The Prada window displays are insanely creative. Not that I can afford their collection but if I have a deep pocket, I'm sure I'll do a lot of damage in that shop!
