L’Oréal Professionnel Natural Colors

What happens if you get fashion and beauty bloggers in a room at the L’Orèal  Academy in Milan and you tell them you are going to die their hair? Apart from tweeting through all the process, everyone starts thinking about the process that they’ll go through.
And the team at L’Oreal Professionnel walked us through every step in the creation of the perfect color treatment for every woman.
I’ve been coloring my hair since I was 16 and it has never been based on what suited me. In fact I’ve experienced hair coloring based on experiments starting from platinium blonde, black hair with red highlights, brown hair with blue bangs, and just last year the trendy Ombrè dye.
At the L’Oréal Professionnel center I had the opportunity to go ‘virgin’ again on my hair. With a personalised service which is taught at the center to the hairstylists around Italy I got the advice needed to find my own color.

The professional equipe of consultants/teachers at the L’Oréal Professionnel started the session explaining how the hair color we choose goes we the skin color we have. The hair are after all the framework to our face, and as a framework they need to have the right color and the right cut depending on the features we have.
After learning more about ourselves we were off with our personal hairstylist. Mine was Luca Giordani a L’Orèal Professionnel partner from many years. We found out together what was the perfect coloring product for me. Given that I have mine natural color right now, he suggested not to go aggressive and use one of the new professional acid tone-on-tone colour called DIALIGHT which would give luminous reflects with ultimate shine and condition but not a real permanent coloring. For those first timers to hair coloring, or women who need just to add shine to their actual color this is the product which the L’Orèal Academy suggests.

“Dia Hiar Color is a  light, non-ammonia gel formulation for gentle color in 15 minutes. Brilliant, natural-looking color results. Reliable color correction. Translucent shades that softly tone high lights, refresh previously-colored hair and blend white. Contains Ionène G which restores, protects and continuously conditions the hair.”- L’Orèal Professionnel

For those who want a more strong coloring effect for their hair DIARICHESSE is available as an ammonia-free colour with white hair coverage of up to 70% on base shades which gives rich, deep reflects and exceptional softness.

The color choice went on the DIA LIGHT Gloss color (no color) named Clear mixed with a golden blonde number 83 just to make my chestnut hair color warmer. The result was a rich, warm, medium brown hair color that covered the remaining of my highlights beautifully.

The after treatment included the curls defining Curl Candy miracolous Mythic Oil

‘Enriched with a special blend of avocado and grape seed oil, this lightweight oil cares and pampers all hair types. Nourishing even the finest hair, the formula leaves hair looking shiny, feeling nourished and supple.’

… and  voilà a brand new, naturally colored and shiny hair me.

Thanks to L’Oréal Professionnel for this experience and my hairstylist Luca Giordani for taking such a good care of me. The DIALIGHT Clear coloring is going to be my new way to go when keeping my natural color and adding some gloss to it from time to time.
