Carla Sozzani loves MBT

mbt

Who would have thought I could change my mind over the MBT shoes. At first I've seen them back when I was living in London. People were wearing these thick and curved sole shoes with a huge logo MBT. They looked like something a doctor would prescribe.

In the last years the brand has re-invented the design, and finally they have become something that you can wear as a choice. The fact that other people now recognize the shoe and have enough information on the effects that it has on the body, it has become something that is more acceptable for the eyes of the public.

They have become so famous, that now you can spot them during Fashion Week. The fact is that I'd wear them to Fashion Week also, running from one show to the other. And if you think this would be a miss on street-style photography, you couldn't be more wrong. Even The Sartorialist has shot people wearing MBT first row at Miu Miu fashion show. The person wearing the sandal version was actually Carla Sozzani, sister of Vogue Italia's editor Franca Sozzani, and a fashion personality on her own. She is the owner of Galleria Carla Sozzani and 10 Corso Como, the most famous designer shop in Milan.

And now Carla and MBT have come together offering a limited edition MBT shoe of the model Karibu. The 2 available designs are in total black (my favorite) leather and one version in black-white. The shoes come with the logo MBT 10 Corso Como.

Staying healthy is in fashion this year.

In effetti i primi modelli erano inguardabili!
Manca ancora un po' però, prima che diventino abbastanza carine perchè le compri.. :)

Oh wow! In the past, I've always thought these MBT shoes are beyond bizarre. A friend showed me hers and I was appalled. Judging by your photos, they're certainly much improved versions to the ones I'd seen.

@missMarlboro se cambiano ancora un po diventanno senza suola :-)
@Chocolate,Cookies&Candies definitely the design has improved. The first ones were very very big. Or they looked big to me given that I wasn't used to see them around.
