I met Erïk Bjerkesjö during Milan Design Week back in April. He was presenting his menswear collection at Mauro Griffoni shop, supported by the Polimoda Talent (Florence based Fashion School, Institute of Design and Marketing). Erik presented a range of shoes produced by Tuscan artisans, trying to define a new concept of male elegance. Impressive also are his creations of men outwear. And today I open my email to read the news that Erik has won the Who Is On Next competition, which is organised by Pitti Uomo, Alta Roma and l'Uomo Vogue. The collections have been voted from international buyers and fashion journalists.
Congratulations to Erik for the well deserved price. We'll be seeing more of this designer in the future and hopefully one day he'll think about creating a women's collection as well.
