In Rome with Airbnb

Ready for the holidays? This is the difficult part of the year when you stop dreaming about holidays and start making actual plans. As last year when I spent a week in the Côte d'Azur even this year I'm planning in renting an apartment somewhere in the Greek islands. I prefer renting apartments to hotels because of the cost and also because I get to do things on my own terms and timing. It feels like having a holiday home but every year in a different country, a different beach. 

Just recently when I was in Rome at the Madonna MDNA Tour Concert I was staying in an amazing apartment as guest of Airbnb the online website where we all can rent apartments for our holidays, and even put our apartment for rent. Not just apartments, but also single rooms can be rented and this can be seen as an amazing opportunity to make new friends from all over the world and have someone in the city you are going who knows all the right places to eat, shop and have fun. 

I couldn't have asked for any better location in Rome. The Airbnb apartment was located in Campo dei Fiori which is most central neighborhood of Rome. Starting the tour of the city from these location, I didn't take the car or any public transportation at all for the whole 2 days. With a little help from the fantastic host of the apartment Tommy , I had the city figured out immediately.  No hotel concierge could have been so helpful.

I've now prepared my wishlist on Airbnb for my next trip in the Greek Islands and also my New York visit in fall.

Pronti per le vacanze? Questa è la parte più difficile dell'anno in cui si smette di sognare le vacanze  e si inizia a fare piani concreti. Come l'anno scorso, dove ho trascorso una settimana in Costa Azzurra, anche quest'anno ho intenzione di affittare un appartamento da qualche parte nelle isole greche. Preferisco affittare appartamenti agli hotel a causa dei costi e anche perché riesco a fare le cose alle mie condizioni e tempi. Affittare un appartamento è come avere una casa vacanza, ma ogni anno in un paese diverso e in una spiaggia diversa.

Proprio di recente sono stata a Roma al tour di Madonna MDNA dove ero ospite in un appartamento incredibile di Airbnb, il sito online dove tutti possiamo affittare appartamenti per le vacanze, e anche mettere il nostro appartamento in affitto. Non solo appartamenti, ma anche le camere singole si possono affittare avendo cosi un opportunità di fare nuove amicizie in tutto il mondo e avere qualcuno del posto , che conosce tutti i posti giusti per mangiare, fare shopping e divertirsi.

Non avrei potuto chiedere una posizione migliore a Roma. L'appartamento Airbnb si trovava a Campo dei Fiori, il quartiere più centrale di Roma. Con una location cosi non ho dovuto prendere nessun mezzo pubblico per fare il mio tour turistico di 2 giorni. Con un piccolo aiuto da parte del fantastico padrone di casa Tommy il quale mi ha spiegato cosa fare e dove andare, ho passato una mini vacanza stupenda. Nessun concierge d'albergo sarebbe potuto essere così utile.

Ora ho preparato le mia liste Wish List su Airbnb per il mio prossimo viaggio nelle isole greche ed anche la mia visita a New York in autunno.
