La Prairie celebrates 25 years of the Skin Caviar Collection. Releases Skin Caviar Liquid Lift. ~ The Dolls Factory

Caviar nowadays is not only known as an expensive culinary delicacy, but also an active beauty product ingredient. In 1987, La Prairie was the first company to discover a system of encapsulation for the active ingredients within caviar, lunching the Skin Caviar. When this inovative skin product was first introduced, it provoked reactions of absolute surprice and a little skepticism. The sales results La Prairie's Skin Caviar, however, showed that the company had taken the right direction, changing the world of skincare.

From 1987 till today La Prairie has regularly launched new caviar treatments like Essence of Skin Caviar Skin Caviar Eye Complex (1989), Extrait of Skin Caviar Firming Complex (1990), Skin Caviar Luxe Cream (1998), Skin Caviar Luxe Body Cream (2000), Skin Caviar Intensive Ampoule Treatment (2005), Skin Caviar Luxe Body Emulsion (2006). Also for the first time the caviar extracts are included in a foundation releasing in 2006 the Skin Caviar Concealer + Foundation SPF 15 which are packed together in a luxurious bottle with Honey Beige, Soleil Peche e Golden Beige being the most sold shades. More products are released like the Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream (2007) and the Skin Caviar Crystalline Concentré (2008).

The packaging of the Skin Caviar was inspired by the theory of a doctor who claimed that eating a spoonful of caviar per day could give all the necessary nutrients - hence we have, the spoon-shaped applicator for caviar pearls. This beauty treatment is offered in a special cobalt color package, to be differentiated from the other La Prairie products which are found in the typical white and silver colors.

In 2012 La Prairie celebrates 25 years of the iconic Skin Caviar Collection which combines state-of-the-art science with utter luxury. This collection of skin treatments promises to transform the skin into a lifted, illuminated look of satin because of its main ingredients: powerful caviar extract and unique sea proteins.

To celebrate this milestone La Prairie has launched in Milan the new member of the Skin Caviar Collection the Skin Caviar Liquid Lift. This gravity-defying serum has the highest concentration of pure Caviar Extract than any other famous product of the Skin Caviar Collection. It will be available in the beauty counters starting from the end of August 2012.
