Last week, during the Berlin Fashion Week, Hugo Boss presented their Fall Winter 2013 2014 collection for men and women of their more progressive design brand HUGO. This is one of the most awaited shows in Germany and you could tell that every person that counts on the german fashion arena was attending. To make the show more of a celebration front row guests included actors Renee Zellweger, Edward Norton and Eddie Redmayne (who didn’t look at all Les Miserables ). This show celebrated the 20th anniversary of the brand and I was very happy to fly to Berlin and attend this special event. The show location was in Opernwerkstaetten, in the artistic center of the German capital, all lighted in red.
The design team made by Eyan Allen and Bart de Backer showed a timeless collection named ‘Reflection‘. The collection was build on technical fabrics, clear cuts and many slim suits in solid colors. This much minimalism gave me a feeling of Calvin Klein meets Jil Sander and I loved the side cuts on the long dresses. In honor of the 20th anniversary the bags, shoes and many dresses were shown in bright red, the signiture color of the HUGO brand.
