A psychedelic rock band on a cosmic tour was the inspiration for Diesel Black Gold Fall Winter 2013/2014 collection with futuristic and astrological influences. The collection has two different graphic elements: The hexagon which symbolizes planet Saturn, said by astrologers to influence the mood and creativity of artists and musicians and the paisley, an ancient Indian textile design appropriated during the Sixties by artists with an interest in eastern spirituality. The rockstars were the models with their tattoos, accessoriezed by rosary beads walking down the runway with attitude. Adriend Brody, the most unconventional handsome man alive was sitting front row.
Backstage I had the chance to have a closer look at the clothes, but most importantly at the accessories, which I find wearable even for us girls if we want to play the rockstars ourselves. We also have to wait for the Diesel Black Gold women's collection which will be shown during New York Fashion Week next month. Maybe we'll have a collection inspired by groupies which go after the Diesel Black Gold rockstar men.
