Tod's Fall Winter 2013 2014

Tod's presented yesterday their Fall Winter 2013/2014 men collection at the amazing location of Villa Necchi. Going from one room to another I couldn't stop wondering about the family that once used to live in this huge villa in the center of Milan, filled with books and persian carpets. Once in a bookshop I went through the pages of the The Italian Touch, a photography book putting in the limelight amazing homes throughout Italy with the families living in, all featuring Tod's shoes. They were aristocratics, artists and musicians, with 2 things in common: great houses and great taste for shoes. While there is no family living at Villa Necchi now as it has been transfored in a museum-house you can still feel the presence of the good taste for shoes, cause every fashion week Tod's makes a private presentation of their collections. 
I saw the Tod's new Podium shoes and Double Stripe bag in the same rooms Tilda Swinton played Emma in the movie 'I am love'. I loved the feeling of going through a new collection, the same way I go and view an exhibition in a museum. Moreover 2 artisans were there, giving a live show on how the Tod's shoes are hand-made.
