After the GreenDay concert I was invited by Cult Shoes to attend the Kiss concert for their #MusiDuriCercasi (Looking For Tough Faces). Together with the photographer Henry Ruggeriand video maker Gianluca Grandinetti we were scouting for today’s rock’n'roll faces.
This is to be defined the most extreme concert experience. Extreme in the sense that behind the painted faces with the tongue outside trying to be scary were people of an age range from 2 to 80 years old. We know that the Kiss have been around since the 70s and have come to include as their fans 3 generations of glam-rock lovers. It seems to be like a music religion to be passed to the next generations. And the cutest fans indeed were the tattoo filled mothers and motorcycle riding fathers with their Kiss painted face pre-teen daughters and sons. During the Kiss show in Milan I discovered that there is hope for the future. Not every teenager is pulling their hair out screaming at Justin Bieber and the One Direction. Not every girl is getting a personality dysfunction due to Miley Cyrus/ Hanna Montana . There is hope cause there is Rock’n'Roll.
