Inspired by the 70s movies representing the aristocracy of the Milanese families, the fashion house of Mila Schon showed for their Spring Summer 2014 collection in the beautiful Palazzo Serbelloni. I loved the color palette of white, mandarin and soft petal. This collection reminded me of how romantic spring can be when wearing silk trousers, chiffon dresses and precious embroideries. The runway felt like a society gala with the models wearing each a unique design.
I had the chance to follow all the preparations backstage with the Shu Uemura team and hairstyles Olivier Lebrun. All hair trends for Spring Summer 2014 seem to go in the same direction with natural waves shown in every runway show. At Mila Schon the hairstyle is minimalistic, which goes perfectly with the romantic mood, making the 70s inspired collection more modern. The make up by Lancome is also minimal with only the lips having a hint of orange.

Nina Zilli, the Italian singer was a VIP guest at the collection presentation. Here a moment backstage of getting her make up done. I was hoping for her to sing during the runway, but it didn’t happen.
My favorite dress at Mila Schon is this one with an A-Line shape. It has the perfect color of rose powder hinting to orange, and the perfect embroideries of chiffon petals.

Here is a selection of my favorite looks on the runway show. It was difficult to pick favorites because every piece from the collection had its own story to tell and represented a particular woman.
